The palate is dark‑fruited, spicy, and confidently structured, opening with black cherry, blackberry, and plum skin before a wave of black pepper, smoked spice, and cured‑meat savouriness brings classic cool‑climate Shiraz character. Acidity is bright and energetic, giving the wine a long, driving line, while tannins are fine, firm, and graphite‑edged, offering shape without heaviness. The mid‑palate is layered and savoury, showing hints of violet, olive tapenade, and cool dark earth. The finish is long, mineral, and gently smoky, leaving dark‑fruit tension, pepper spice, and a faint ironstone hum.
