The palate is powerful, structured, and dark‑fruited, opening with blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark plum lifted by fresh, driving acidity that keeps the wine focused despite its depth. Tannins are firm, fine‑grained, and graphite‑edged, giving classic Margaret River shape and length. The mid‑palate reveals notes of bay leaf, cedar, cocoa, black olive, and a cool, stony mineral thread, adding savoury complexity beneath the fruit.
