This cuvée is sourced from five plots of 60+ year-old vines on the steep, granitic slopes of Schlossberg Grand Cru. The 2023 vintage opens with a flinty reduction, evolving into aromas of pear, citrus, and crushed stone. The palate is juicy, light, and svelte, with zesty tension and mineral precision, reflecting the vineyard’s altitude and low-vigour soils. It’s aged in old oak barrels for 14 months, adding subtle texture without masking the wine’s purity. Critics describe it as “a masterpiece of minerality” and “sublime”, with a 99/100 score from James Suckling.
