Jim Barry The Benbournie Cabernet Sauvignon
Benbournie originates from the historic Clare Valley, a premier Australian wine region settled in 1853 by German Catholic pioneers under Father Kranewitter. Once a small copper-mining settlement, only traces remain today—ancient vines, fig and almond trees—reflecting its rich past.
The Clare Valley, producing under 1.5% of Australia’s wine, is world-renowned for premium Riesling and Shiraz, shaped by rolling hills, winter rainfall, and a Mediterranean climate ideal for viticulture.
Benbournie Shiraz is deep crimson in colour with intense aromas of dark berries, chocolate, herbs, cedar, and earth. The palate delivers rich dark fruit, savoury spice, and fine mineral tannins, offering structure, length, and elegance.
Crafted in the tradition of the Jim Barry philosophy, this wine is designed for both early enjoyment and long-term cellaring, where it will further evolve and reward patience.
