The palate is generous, textural, and quietly complex, opening with apricot, melon, and yellow citrus oil wrapped in Fourchaume’s characteristic sun‑kissed ripeness. A mid‑palate of white blossoms, chalk dust, and a faint smoky liftreflects both the warm exposure of Les Vaupulans and the stainless‑steel, lees‑driven élevage. The acidity is softer than classic Chablis, but the wine retains clarity and drive, carried by fine phenolics and a subtle leesy savour. The finish is long, mineral, and gently pithy, tapering with citrus skin, chalk, and a touch of saline weight.
