The palate is dark‑fruited, structured, and quietly powerful, opening with blackberry, plum, and black cherry lifted by fresh, medium acidity that keeps the wine balanced and energetic. Tannins are firm, fine, and slightly more linear, giving a cooler, more focused expression compared with the richer Marananga and Greenock bottlings. The mid‑palate shows dark chocolate, graphite, licorice, and cracked pepper, with a granite‑mineral thread adding savoury tension beneath the concentrated fruit. The finish is long, dry, and mineral, leaving black fruits, spice, and a clean earthy‑graphite echo.
