It opens with aromas of black cherry, raspberry, plum, and wild strawberry, layered with garrigue, licorice, cracked pepper, and a touch of dried flowers. Compared to their Côtes du Rhône, the Lirac is deeper, darker, and more structured, with a clearer mineral‑savory edge. On the palate, it is medium‑ to full‑bodied, smooth, and concentrated, showing flavors of ripe red and black fruits, cherry compote, plum skin, and sweet spice, supported by fine, velvety tannins and fresh acidity. The texture is generous but never heavy—classic Usseglio polish.
