The palate is mature, powerful, and beautifully settled, opening with blackberry, plum compote, and mulberry that have softened into a richer, more harmonious dark‑fruit core with age. Acidity is fresh but rounded, lifting the concentrated fruit without sharpness. Layers of black pepper, cocoa, dried herbs, espresso, and a faint ironstone edge add savoury depth. The finish is long, brooding, and mineral‑etched, carrying dark fruit, spice, and a persistent tannin line that shows the wine is still very much alive, just entering its prime drinking window.
