The palate is precise, tense, and quietly powerful, opening with lemon zest, green apple, and white peach lifted by bright, driving acidity that gives the wine its signature Montelena freshness. Texture is silky but tightly coiled, with very restrained oak that adds shape without overt creaminess. The mid‑palate shows grapefruit pith, almond, crushed stone, and a faint smoky‑flinty edge, bringing savoury depth beneath the citrus‑stone fruit. The finish is long, focused, and mineral, leaving citrus peel, peach skin, and a clean, stony echo.
