The deep alpine valleys and waterways of Central Otago have carved the land available for grape growing into quite distinct sub-regions. Each pocket of land has its own unique climate and soil mix producing quite different styles of Pinot Noir. River Run captures the character of each of the sub-regions where the vineyards are planted. Low-burn gives bright, fresh sweet fruit, Gibbston savoury and herbal tones and Park-burn brings good texture and mineral length. Aromas of dark spices and dried herb are underpinned with a bright red cherry fruit perfume. Abundant fresh red fruit flavours move to dried herb and savoury notes supporting a long sustained finished.
