The palate is dark‑fruited, structured, and quietly powerful, opening with black raspberry, dark cherry, and purple berry in line with the Wine.com and Beaune Imports descriptions. A mid‑palate of violet, cracked pepper, and stony alluvial‑granite minerality reflects the mixed soils of Les Forchets, Le Potet, and Montmerond. The tannins are gritty, firm, and beautifully shaped, giving the wine a Burgundian sense of architecture while retaining Sunier’s hallmark purity. The finish is long, savory, and mineral‑lined, tapering with dark‑berry skin, spice, and a faint earthy‑granite echo.
