The palate is vivid, structured, and beautifully expressive, opening with red plum, cherry, and alpine strawberry that echo the lifted aromatics described in the 2022 Lantignié review. A mid‑palate of rhubarb, Darjeeling tea, and crushed granite reflects the altitude and stony soils of Chermieux, giving the wine both tension and depth. The tannins are fine, lightly grippy, and quietly architectural, offering more structure than the basic Lantignié bottling. The finish is long, mineral, and subtly floral, tapering with red‑berry skin, violets, and a clean granite edge.
