The Maragle vineyard is located at the southern tip of Tumbarumba towards the Victorian Border. Unlike many other vineyards in Tumbarumba, the Vineyard only lies at 450 meters above sea level making it one of the lower altitude vineyards in the region. Fruit from this vineyard ripens earlier than other vineyards and generally produces a more powerful robust style of chardonnay than the higher altitdue sites. The soil is decomposed granite and is relatively light in colour. The vineyards are now almost 30 years old and are grown on a smart dyson canopy system. Nick Spencer describes this drop as "Tumbarumba in a bottle". A great example of the region's chardonnay. Vibrant green apple and white peach aromas linger on the nose, with slight crushed rock notes. Beautifully restrained power in the palate, subtle complexity and a devine length. Smashing drop!
