Pristine and beautifully crafted, this supple and willowy pinot has a delicate floral fragrance , spicy red cherries and red currants with Burgundy-like undertones of dried herbs and meatiness. Generous but tightly restrained, its palate of red berry/cherry fruit and smoky, mocha-like oak has an element of viscosity before smoothing out towards a silky, sappy finish.
Lethbridge Mietta Pinot Noir 2018
Following on from a strong ‘17 vintage comes another top year. A rousing, lifted aromatic bouquet fills the glass, all red berries, pomegranate, cranberry, lapsang souchong and exotic spice. A wine still in its infancy, with slow reveals of sweet fruit, dried herbs, bitter chocolate and savoury earth. A fine tannin structure exudes an elegance. Everything in its place and just waiting on time.
