Greywacke Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Marlborough , New Zealand
Vintage: 2020

Greywacke Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Amazing fruit intensity sourced from various prime vineyard sites in Marlborough’s Southern Valleys and the central Wairau Plains. Tastes like ripe golden peaches, honeydew melon, nectarines and passion fruit, with a generous splash of cassis and a sprinkling of lime zest. A subtle, delicately aromatic, ripe interpretation of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The palate is generous and textural, showing great concentration and finishing with a crisp, succulent finish.

Awards:
‘An impressive, complex, elegant, mineral nose with mixed herbs, gooseberries, fennel, sweat pea, wet stones and
smoky, flinty elements. Restrained but concentrated, very textural on the palate with lovely acid balance. A wine with
definite poise and a touch of class.’ 96 Points, Bennet & Hudson, WINERATER.CO.NZ

‘Seductive bouquet of wildflowers and minerals, a fine leesy complexity and fresh aromas and flavours of
citrus, peach tea and sweet hay. Crisp, refreshing, fruity and dry with fine texture. Just enough concentration
of flavour to contrast the fresh herb notes and salivating acidity. Well-made and long.’
95 Points, Cameron Douglas MS, DECANTER.COM

‘A classic yin and yang sauvignon blanc with passionfruit and guava flavours contrasting with lime juice,
green capsicum and lemongrass, while a sweet-and-sour contrast builds a delicious tension. Nice purity and
length.’ 95 Points, Bob Campbell MW, THEREALREVIEW.COM

‘A very fresh, lime and grapefruit nose with a gently herbal thread, as well as green passion-fruit notes. The
palate has a captivating fusion of fresh acidity and rich, fleshy fruit flavours. Zesty and intense.’
94 Points, Nick Stock, JAMESSUCKLING.COM

‘This is a youthful yet mellifluous expression of Sauvignon Blanc with a line of tension that gives it length and
purpose. Citrus, elderflower and grassy notes infuse the svelte midpalate. The finish is crisp, clean and full
of adolescent vigor.’ 91 Points, Rebecca Gibb MW, VINOUS.COM

‘Fleshy, sweet-fruited and rounded, with generous, ripe tropical-fruit flavours, showing a distinct touch of
complexity, and a dry, long finish, it’s already very open and expressive. Bright, light lemon/green, is a very
elegant, mouthfilling wine, with vigorous, tropical-fruit flavours, a herbaceous undercurrent, a distinct touch
of complexity, and a crisp, long finish’ 5 Stars, Michael Cooper, MICHAELCOOPERWINES.COM
