Over the years, Torbreck’s RunRig has become a benchmark of Barossa and Australian Shiraz, and the wine has become a favourite for wine collectors the world over.
Winemaker’s Notes:
The Torbreck Runrig 2018 is complex and lifted aromatics of dense black fruits such as blackberries, satsuma plum and black cherry. This is complemented with dark chocolate, cacao bean and liquorice.
The opulent mouthfeel, liveliness, and vibrancy is a real standout on a plush and velvety textured palate structure.
The complex layers and fruit characters continue to evolve in the glass with firm but drying tannins seamlessly balanced with long acid and statuesque posture and length.
“…..IT’S FULL-BODIED AND RICHLY-FLAVOURED, WITH AMPLE TANNINS THAT RUN THE FULL LENGTH OF THE PALATE LEAVING A CLEANSING BUT BALANCED AFTER-GRIP. SUPERB INTENSITY, LINE AND LENGTH; NOT A BLOCKBUSTER BUT FULL-BODIED AND BEAUTIFULLY MODULATED. LOTS OF CHOCOLATE-MOCHA AND BLACKBERRY ON THE FINISH. A CRACKER OF A WINE AND A VERY STYLISH RUNRIG.” – 98 POINTS – Huon Hooke
